'Auto'cra(c/z)y

We have heard of thieves and robbers in our lives. A thief is one who steals by stealth. But most of Chennaiites, atleast once in their lifetime would have voluntarily searched for such a thief and given him money!.. Its the auto-rickshaw driver. I might be harsh in branding them as such, but from my sample size i can be sure that it is truly representative of the population and a significant majority do fall under this title!.. My personal experiences have driven me to this extent! Some incidents which i would narrate now would corroborate my views!.. These guys completely exploit the situation whenever they find that we really need their service!..Once I had to shift some luggage to a place barely half a kilometer away. The auto driver demanded 20 bucks!.. considering the price of petrol as an upward estimnate of 50 bucks and the auto mileage at the lower estimate of 20 kmpl, half a km costs him 5 bucks!.. imagine a 300% margin! And when i argued , the justification he gave enraged me further!.. "Sir, I am not supposed to carry luggage!.. so i charge extra for that!"... If he shouldnt carry luggage( and I was unaware if that).. he should have denied me.. but fleecing like this gives a very bad impression and arouses hatred even among the most tolerant minds. They consider themselves to be completely indispensable and being backed by political bigwigs, roam around the city like 'dadas'!... These rob(b)in' hoods are notorious for their wonderful reasons of overcharging!.. Dont know the language, overcharge; Dont know the place, overcharge; Are old and cant argue, overcharge!.. I am ashamed of such behavior and hope that tomorrow would dawn better, but i doubt if it will!

Idle mind.. why a devil's workshop? why not?

its quite common to say that when u r idle, the mind will try to come out of it by trying to find instances which are most easy to remember..and mostly they are those which the same mind would like to forget. How is that what is least wanted comes up first? is it another LIFO( Least Interested First OUt) phenomenon thats working inside? Well, its just that the mind takes so much effort in forgetting it, that it pays so much attentions to it, and thereby end up remembering most of it. How many of us can clearly narrate good events as we do for bad?.. Here's how I think we can cope with it. A workshop for a devil happens only when we actually indicate our thoughts by actuon. This is where we can exercise control. first, try to keep the mind occuppied. Of course, since we cant do that all ways, so we cant help getting idle for a while, and so we cant stop to remember what we'd like to forget... lets stop it with the thinking.. Its bad only if others know what you'r thinking.. and Thank God they cant unless you wish it to be.. so best to nip it in the bud!.. so will it become a devil's workshop?... we can have our say there!

Blogging? Me? Yes or No?

Well, after my initial spurt of blogs, I have again ran out of events/views/opinions to write any further blogs.. or haven't I? If I havent, why didnt I put them down?.. Not writing a blog for so long has actually made me think of the reason, and I actually end up writing one finally! I am still unable to pin point the exact cause for my 'nonchalance'(NC).. But I can say for sure that one factor never dominated this result. There were very many pf those who ensured in their every little way to prevent what i felt to be put down on the computer screen. Blogging is viewed as the outcome of the 'freaking-out' of the mind, but how many of us write blogs which we dont want others to read? we all would like it to be read (how of many of you actually read this is another issue altogether!) and given a feedback. But blogs are NOT a virtual diary. A person generally does not put down incidents or instances which might be of great interest, and considerably appreciated by others, but that would preferred to kept private. Thats a major factor for my 'NC'( I am using it within quotes as it highly subjective).Well, whats the use of writing a blog which is not going to be recognised, no feedback given and just for the blogger himself to look back? My blogs were initially those which would mean great importance only to myself, but I too veered into the 'conventional blogger style'. Blogging needs to be redefined, so do my 'blogs'.
